The above residence is Number 24. They still have an electricity supply box and a small chair, what more can one need? INTERNET........obviously!
This section is about the seemingly forgotten or what may seem to appear hopelessly lost in the midst of what we take for granted. But its not as so despondent as it may seem. Many snaps will show a time gone by maybe offering a story, some a character of current life without extravagances.
'The Lost' is simply an alternative view to what is from what was.
There will be similar themed snaps elsewhere on this site, this is just a section fully dedicated to that theme.

Grand Endings
An open air, nightclub venue just outside Paphos. For a while, a very popular location for late night partying and live appearances from well established artists in the summer months. Virtually on the beachfront. This was a sound reinforcement setup for a 'top' artist visiting from Greece and you don't just give them people a Karaoke box and a mike. Come to think of it, the short name for the 'Top Artist' was Mike.

The second shot is the same venue a few years later. The 'top' artist didn't return, neither did the clientele, so the place lost its popularity as all these places do. Shame, but in this model of business, its always a gamble.
I went there, couldn't get in. I did hear that Mike got into some financial troubles around this time but looking at this, he wasn't the only one! Now the Deputy Cultural Minister for Cyprus, he's making fast moves! |
The Extravagant and Ambitious Bibliotheque. A large space restaurant,
live venue, reading area and building full of curiosity. A snap of the family living in the basement can be found elsewhere on this site. This shot taken in its heyday 2016-17 |
The end of the days arrived not surprisingly or unexpected given the scale of the project, its location and the failing local economy but the place was buried further with off the wall government mandates concerning the spread of a certain virus. The cat missing the snack in 2021

Hang em Out To Dry!
They can be hung anywhere with a little imagination but wherever, it portrays real life with nothing posh
