Photography of Observation - Candid photos - Faces - Historical
Views and Scenes. The definition of AVIEWSCENE.
Many people refer to Street Photography as an observational point of view, i totally agree with that. Its what you see in the subject at that very point in time of the shot which puts it all together. Never again will that very moment in time happen exactly to show the shot being portrayed the way you want it.
These visuals (Views and Scenes) are a prime example of that. Along with, at times, a humorous comment or slight sarcasm and maybe inclusion of fact. |
Get the idea?....Its about walking the streets, being in a location and grabbing a shot or taking advantage of the surroundings

Away from the earlier humor but in the same country while Streetwalking. This little chap is fully aware of my presence, i did get the feeling at the time that she was also aware but really didn't give a shit, and i think that comes through on the face. I'm guessing the little chap has already eaten.

This 1951 Austin FX1/ Taxi (4door) provided me with the props to put this montage together around 1997.
Photographed in 1982 using Black and White film. This is a scan of the original photo but the thing with this shot is that its always looked predated, even at the time after development. No cars are in clear sight to give the era away and the women to the left appear to be early 1960's. Putney, SW London. (original print showing its wear and age)
